LIBRARY REEDS / SECURE PAYMENTS
Stripe & MAJORITY Payouts
Your Stripe account is managed securely through Stripe. Library Reeds uses Firebase Cloud Functions for payment creation and Stripe webhooks for verification.
Stripe test connection
Verify the Firebase server can authenticate with Stripe in test mode. This will not charge a customer or enable live checkout.
Not tested yet.
Stripe checkout
Accept payments for books, bookmarks and other eligible products only after your secure checkout backend is deployed and tested.
MAJORITY payout destination
Add your MAJORITY checking details inside Stripe's secure payout settings. Eligibility and acceptance must be confirmed by Stripe and MAJORITY.
Sales, refunds & payouts
Review actual transactions in Stripe. This admin page intentionally does not invent transaction totals or imply payouts have been verified.
Required before live checkout
- Finish Stripe identity and business verification in your Stripe account.
- Add your MAJORITY payout bank in Stripe if eligible.
- Deploy a Firebase Cloud Function that creates Stripe Checkout sessions using server-side product prices.
- Deploy a Stripe webhook with signature verification; only your trusted server marks orders paid or issues digital products.
- Connect cart.html to the checkout function, then test successful, canceled, and failed payments.
Security: Never put Stripe secret API keys, webhook signing secrets, MAJORITY routing/account numbers, or SSN into this HTML page, local storage, or client-readable Firestore documents. This panel alone does not activate Stripe payments.
